You will serve as a consultant and divisional expert in marketing, where decisions and recommendations are made to create and sustain competitive advantage for Hydraulic Mining Shovels, Electric Rope Shovels, and Draglines and ultimately drive revenue and business growth for Caterpillar.As a Marketing Consultant in the Mining team, you will need to demonstrate leadership skills: selling ideas and gaining consensus are central to success. As an individual contributor, you will lead or contribute to cross-functional teams, which requires effective communication, relationship-building skills, and the ability to work across business units and with the dealer network.What you will do:

Collaborating with the sales team to ensure sales enablement and marketing support on-demand generation activities to ensure an attractive return on marketing investment.

Developing and executing activities related to market analysis, customer segmentation, customer personae, customer decision journey, competitor analysis, industry positioning, campaign development, marketing asset development, metrics, and reporting.

Designing marketing messages, campaigns, and marketing assets through all marketing and communication channels while managing associated marketing budgets.

Negotiating, directing and collaborating with internal and external agencies as needed to ensure delivery of marketing campaigns on time and budget.

Providing marketing direction and input to enhance the NPI process.

Serving as a key member on strategic marketing projects.

Leading teams for specific projects.

Guides the team members in developing a marketing communication plan and strategy.Degree and Experience Requirement:

A bachelor’s or master's degree in communications, Marketing, Digital, Media, or related fields.

7+ years of relevant work experience in marketing and communications or 7+ years of relevant experience with mining equipment.

2+ years of demonstrated proficiency in building and executing B2B multi-channel marketing campaigns and/or programs or MBA.

Confident to work alone and be self-motivated

Understanding of Caterpillar mining equipment portfolio.

Proficiency in Office 365 suite of tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.

Understanding and ability to analyze, report, and optimize campaign performance.

Ability to quickly understand technology changes and drive advancement within the organization.

Experience managing 3rd party marketing and advertising agencies.

Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.

Ability to partner and build relationships across matrix organizations at various levels.

Self-starter and energetic team player

Ability to work on complex projects

An interest in process improvement

Excellent problem-solving skills – strategic, inquisitive, solution-focused, and engaged in peer-to-peer support.
