Description We are introducing a long-term contract opportunity for a Purchasing Specialist located in Tucson, Arizona, 85713, United States. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be tasked with reviewing grants and gifts, preparing budget analyses, and assisting with monthly grant billings. This role is highly significant within our industry and requires a meticulous individual capable of managing accounting functions and utilizing accounting software systems.Responsibilities: Conduct thorough reviews of various grants and restricted gifts Document the specific spending requirements of each grant/gift Take note of the timeframe covered by each grant/gift Prepare detailed budget versus actual spending analyses for each grant/gift Assist with the extraction of details for monthly grant billings Effectively utilize accounting software systems to perform accounting functions Manage accounts payable (AP) and buying processes Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders Handle contracts and contracts finance related tasks Work with foundation grants and ensure compliance with grant stipulations.
