Meeting the needs of the SMI population, our team provides patients a safe, supportive environment that fosters healing and facilitates a return to the highest possible level of independence. Other services include; crisis stabilization, psychiatric assessments, 24-hours psychiatric & nursing care, expressive arts therapy, group therapy, family support therapy, medication management and a separate behavioral health unit within the Emergency Department. RN to patient ratio: 8:1 or less. Our specialty services include inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, treatment and education for diabetes, innovative geriatrics care and comprehensive orthopedics.POSITION SUMMARYThis position is responsible for supporting nurse leadership in the planning, development and execution of facility education for clinicians, supporting the on-boarding and orientation of newly hired registered nurses, career development and effective internal clinical communications. This role performs under the guidance and direction of the chief nursing officer or designee and serves as a liaison between all disciplines by effectively communicating, educating and problem solving. This position proactively supports the quality and continuity of services throughout the healthcare systems and assists in resolution of systems issues and enforces facility/unit/department policy/procedures and standards of care. This position coordinates oversight of quality, risk management, safety and nursing standards and is a role model and resource person for providing quality patient care and maintaining clinical competency within the facility/unit/department; collaborates with Clinical Education to coordinate and support the on-boarding and precepting of newly hired nurses (this includes supporting programs and communication within the facility); develops and coordinates system and facility initiatives to promote clinical career development and lateral nurse pathways and may lead and implement facility clinical initiatives. This position contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, safe care; and actively participates in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes, such activities may include participating in professional organizations.CORE FUNCTIONS

BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.Requires a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting. Minimal experience, typically gained through 0-2 years relevant experience.
