SOCOTEC has an opening for a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer in Tucson, Arizona.Responsibilities:Assist with marketing and business development.Prepare geotechnical proposals, including scope of services and proposed fees.Assist in the compilation of RFQ/RFP documentation.Respond to technical questions for solicitations during pre-bidding and bidding phases of projects.Prepare and manage/oversee geotechnical projects.Prepare geotechnical evaluation reports.Attend project meetings with project stakeholders as needed.Maintain client relationships.Work directly with clients to assure successful project completion.Mentor junior staff.Provide leadership.Provide ongoing training to engineering staff.Provide direction and review engineering work products prepared by others.Keep up to date with the latest geotechnical survey, measurement, and analysis techniques, instrumentation, industry standards, and guidelines.Review and sign geotechnical proposals and reports on behalf of the company.
