Job DescriptionInspects product by, sing measuring equipment such as tape measure, calipers, gauges, straight edges, etc. to insure conformance to specifications. Read prints to determine tolerances. Inspect dies after use for potential re-application. Reports die condition via die inspection reports Prepares dies for coating through operation of 50-ton pres. Weld dies. Coat dies by using flame spraying machine to affix protective ceramic coating. Operates sandblasting equipment to roughen and clean surface of dies. Preheat dies in oven. Assembles tooling components. Maintain tooling inventory system. Prepare glass pads.
