Cafe Francais is a small, local, high-end French bakery consisting of 2 working owners and two employees. We are slowly growing and seeking full-time passionate bakers to grow with us. Workdays and times are flexible and will be discussed at time of interview.
No experience necessary, being reliable, teachable, hardworking, detail oriented, communicative and consistent in your work are traits more important to us, how to bake is something that can be taught. Please note, this job is not for someone who thinks baking would simply be "fun". Don't get me wrong, baking is fun but this is not a light, simple job. Consistency requires hard work and dedication to every detail.
Job duties may consist of but not limited to
Following recipes consistently for fillings, icings, glazes, buttercreams, bread doughs. sweet and savory.
Baking pastries and breads if and when needed.
Laminating and shaping croissant, brioche, and puff pastry dough.
Rolling burger buns and building butter blocks for lamination.
Lifting max 50lbs. in assisting with putting away food orders.
Washing dishes, sweeping & mopping, and daily/monthly maintenance cleaning.
