Penca is a locally owned restaurant located in a beautiful restored building in the heart of Downtown. Located right on Broadway and a few steps for Scott Ave. Penca is a medium size restaurant with focus in central Mexico cuisine and with an award wining cocktail bar. Our menu is inspired by the flavors of central Mexico, our bar reflect this heritage with a vast selection of tequilas, mezcal, bacanora and other Mexican distills. Penca also offers, natural wines, old world wines and small batch distills. Our kitchen is a scratch kitchen that emphasizes the traditions of Mexico. Our service is casual but with the attention for detail. Staff is trained to guide our guest in course dinners with pairings. It is a wonderful restaurant that cherishes the relationship of staff with guest.
We are looking for an exeptional manager that understand the systems required to maintain standards and that can help us grow. This manager will be in charge off all aspects of the restaurant and will report directly to owner.
Experience and knowledge required:
Fine Dining Experience
- Must be able to train and secure that all staff is train to maintain the highest standards
- Manager will maintain financials for the operations FOH and BOH
- Will oversee ordering and will control cost percentages
- Will hold weekly and monthly meeting with owner to set goals and growth strategies. Will ensure that the restaurant in a welcoming place to all our neighbors and that staff understands the importance to build loyalty
- Will schedule staff and will make sure the labor goals are obtain
- Manager is part of the team and will be on the floor every night - overseeing service, staff and guest experience
Penca is currently open for dinner service from 4-9:30 pm Wednesday to Sunday
Penca is a wonderful place that has a loyal following. Penca has 75 seats inside and a 25 seat patio
