DJ Trivia is looking for a energetic Trivia Host to join our team in Pima County, covering all of Tucson and surrounding areas. This person will be responsible for facilitating two or more 2 hour DJ Trivia and/or DJ Bingo nights on a weekly basis at venues. We will strive to align your venue assignments to your area of residence. Our current needs include hosts for the Northwest (including Marana, Oro Valley, Casas Adobes), Midtown, and Catalina.
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are outgoing, who enjoy engaging with people, and have experience with speaking in front of others. We value responsible, self-motivated, punctual, and personable individuals who can successfully multitask and handle a crowd. If you love Trivia, the pursuit of knowledge, or learning new things, you’re our kind of people!
This is a part time job to supplement your primary income. This is a way to make a few bucks and meet people while having fun. Who ever said you can't make money and have fun has never hosted DJ Trivia!
Responsibilities and Duties:
Communication - Interact and build a relationship with Trivia teams. Read trivia questions and answers clearly and effectively with the microphone.
Multitasking - Keep score in the provided software scoresheet. Play music in-between questions using provided equipment. Answer questions from Trivia teams.
Handle Equipment - Manage and set up audio and video equipment (provided by the company along with instructions and training). Resolve technical glitches with grace and professionalism. Experience troubleshooting computer issues a plus.
Requirements:
Able to ENGAGE professionally and positively with trivia players and make them feel valued
Reliable transportation and the ability to commute a reasonable distance
Good PC skills and reliable access to a high speed internet connection
Excellent verbal reading and communication skills
Shows are generally Sunday through Thursday in the evening, with most shows starting at 6 or 7 pm.
Two shows a week is required at a minimum.
Dependability is a must.
