Seeking LIVE-IN caregiver and house manager for my Mom, who has late moderate stage Alzheimer's. Sleeps 13+ hrs/night, naps, has good overall health. Described by caregivers as kind/pleasant. Can still converse and enjoy activities. Job requires meal and menu prep, ordering groceries and household supplies, running errands, light housekeeping, companionship, transportation, planning and taking on occasional outings, some helping with showering and clothes selection. More help will be needed as time goes on.
Some day shifts are covered by other caregivers. Your choice of days for day shifts (minimum 2 days and 5 [sleeping] nights/week).
Requires: Alzheimer's/dementia care experience, minimum 2 years caregiving experience, non-smoker, own car, valid DL, social/outgoing, solid work history and references, CPR/1st aid trained, vaccines up to date.
Preferred: Certified home health aid, supervisory care experience.
Pay: Up to $62,000/yr plus room, board, utilities (with 4 day shifts, 1 paid week off, 1 unpaid). Private bedroom. Lovely home. Can reduce to 5 night & 3 day shifts.
