Join our healthcare team as a Patient Assistant Contractor!
One Source Healthcare is Arizona's leading provider of mobile podiatry and optometry in nursing homes, group homes and skilled nursing facilities. Our Clinical Assistants are the front line of our business, meeting with our community contacts and working alongside our doctors. We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to help provide exceptional care and support to our patients. This is a mobile contractor position offering flexible hours and a chance to make a difference. We offer a guaranteed daily rate plus weekly bonuses. We currently have 2-3 shifts available per week throughout the Tucson area.
This is an entry level position for anyone looking to gain valuable experience in the medical field or seeking to supplement their current income. We offer full training and support, and all equipment is provided. We offer a daily rate of $150 per day for each shift worked, plus an added bonus of $1 per patient for each exam the doctor completes. Most doctors see between 20-50 patients per day.
Each day is different, as you will be working with our doctors in a variety of assisted living, memory care, group homes and DD homes. Our days start at 8:30 am and end anywhere between 1-5:00 pm, depending on how many patients are seen. Your main responsibilities would include charting the doctor's notes on the tablet through our EHR system and collecting insurance information to be sent into the medical intake team. You will need to be comfortable in a nursing home setting and interacting with patients that have a varying degree of physical and cognitive abilities. You must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and be able to spend 6-8 hours on your feet. This position entails quite a bit of walking around the facilities, visiting with the patients. A reliable car is required for this role. A working knowledge of Microsoft office is required and experience with EHR systems is preferred.
