Growing small animal clinic in Green Valley, AZ (Duval Animal Hospital) specializing in dogs and cats seeks an additional full-time Veterinary Assistant (room technician) to join our team. This position will require Reception shifts as well. We are locally owned and managed offering a fun, positive work environment.
We are looking for a personable, reliable, dedicated assistant who is able to multitask and communicate effectively to join our team.
Applicants MUST have previous veterinary experience. Previous AVImark experience a plus.
As a Receptionist must be able to:
Manage a multiple phone line system, educate clients on patient care/treatment plans, comfortable with veterinary terminology; etc.
As an Assistant must be able to: Draw up vaccines, assist Doctors in exam rooms, discuss/communicate effectively treatment plans, assist technicians as needed, fill prescriptions, able to demonstrate proper animal handling and restraint, plus more.
Must have open availability M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm and alternating Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm.
Must be comfortable with veterinary computer software and systems as we are a "paper-lite" practice.
At least 1 year hands on experience required.
