NEED LEAD TECHNICIAN CAPABLE OF ALL TYPES OF VEHICLE REPAIRS
Must have experience from oil changes and inspections to major engine and transmission repairs or replacements in a thorough and timely manner and DONE CORRECTLY. Good diagnostic and analytical skills required. A-tech with ASE credentials preferred but not required.
Requires experience and comparable education and training to reach A-tech level of skill. This is not an on-the-job training position or apprenticeship position. Must have own tools and equipment to perform required work on multiple types of vehicles of all ages.
Proven experience as auto mechanic
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
Excellent physical condition
High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship will be considered with applicable work experience
Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus
Small independent family shop with great following in Tucson for over 39 years. Need new generation to take over. Paid Holidays and Vacations. No nights, No weekends, No holidays. Comp plan depends upon experience and potential value to shop.
Must work well with others and willing to pitch in for whatever is needed to keep shop running smoothly (ie. answer phones, clean, customer service) as well as turn a wrench. Must be insurable and pass a drug test if required.
