Busy private owner of 4 horses on Ina Road, 3 miles west of the freeway, seeks year-round helper to do horse chores and keep tack/hay barn clean. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. (1-2 hours/day). Want friendly, reliable, hard-working person who is very experienced with horses and enjoys working outdoors.
Horse chores: catch, halter, move, take off fly masks, groom, pick hooves, muck stalls, feed hay, give oral medicine with syringe, exercise horses via groundwork/lunging.
Barn: sweep floor, dump feed sacks in bins, move hay bales, clean shelves and tables, replace light bulbs
Pay is $20/hour via Zelle.
Requirements:
Lots of experience with horses
Must be 16 years or older
Must have a reliable vehicle to drive
Listens well and takes direction
Arrives promptly and comes reliably on set days and times
Energetic and focused whether it’s hot, cold or windy
Good attitude and pleasant with other people
Strong and in good physical health
