Maintenance Worker
Overview:
This role involves repairing and maintaining the hotel's physical infrastructure to meet Company standards in quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety and security.
Duties:
Perform regular maintenance across the property, such as painting and cleaning carpets/floors.
Adjust HVAC systems as needed, including repairing or replacing air conditioning units.
Handle minor repairs or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including TVs and light fixtures.
Fulfill all responsibilities outlined in the Company’s Preventative Maintenance Program, including following the work order process.
Address work orders promptly and attend to guestroom needs promptly.
Maintain cleanliness of the hotel’s exterior areas, including the swimming pool, parking lot, and overall landscape.
Ensure security of Company tools, equipment, and supplies to protect assets.
Notify the General Manager promptly of any requests for major repairs following hotel procedures.
Requirements:
Requires fundamental knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical systems, and/or other general repair skills.
Demonstrates strong organizational and time management abilities.
Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with various personalities.
Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to work independently.
Capable of managing multiple projects under pressure with consistent prioritization.
Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehending English.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
Assist fellow employees with diverse tasks, including transporting dirty linen to and from the laundry facility, and supporting laundry or housekeeping duties as required.
