Steadfast Structures is searching for reliable Metal Building Crew Members in the Tucson area.
While construction experience is a plus, we are prepared to train new employees in our methods and safety procedures. Hard work, solid attendance, and safe practices are recognized.
Due to the nature of our jobs, we require applicants who have no history of vertigo, are not afraid of heights, and have no health issues that would prevent them from consistently working full days of physical labor outside throughout the year.
Job Description
Unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel.
Use a variety of hand tools to measure, cut, and bend metal sheeting.
Assemble hoisting equipment and rigging, such as cables, pulleys, and hooks, to move heavy materials.
Align structural and reinforcing iron and steel vertically and horizontally, using tag lines, lasers, and levels.
Travel as needed for out-of-town projects.
Layout, rigging, connecting, bolting, and occasionally welding steel by following prints and instructions while guaranteeing all quality and safety standards are met.
Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions.
Show up every day to ensure projects stay on schedule.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as needed.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to lift 50 to 75 lbs and withstand the physical demands of erecting steel.
Must be able to work at heights of 30 feet or more.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Steel erection or similar construction work experience is desired but not required.
Welding experience a plus.
