Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pet Sitter to join our team and provide exceptional care for pets in the absence of their owners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong desire to ensure their well-being.
Duties
- Feed and provide water for pets according to specified schedules
- Walk dogs and engage in playtime to ensure physical activity
- Administer medications or treatments as instructed by pet owners
- Clean litter boxes, cages, or other pet areas
- Monitor pets for any health or behavioral issues and report concerns to pet owners
- Provide companionship and attention to pets to minimize separation anxiety
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as veterinary assistant, kennel, equine, pet grooming, veterinary technician, or similar roles
- Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners
- Ability to handle dogs safely and confidently
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices including feeding, grooming, and exercise routines
- Willingness to follow specific instructions provided by pet owners for each pet's care
Job Types: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
