Manufacturing Engineer

SUMMARY:
This position supports manufacturing by developing/implementing production processes related to the manufacturing of existing products and introducing new products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze customer drawings, models, parts lists, process specifications and related documents
Generate and modify routers, RFQs, travelers, manufacturing BOMs and work instructions
Assure that manufacturing processes follow established policies and procedures
Provide support to Production Control, Manufacturing, Quality and Shop Personnel as required
Utilize best practices and principles for daily problem solving and continuous improvement.
Other assignments as requested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Proficient in the interpretation of component drawings and GD&T requirements.
Well rounded knowledge of various manufacturing methods.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
Comfortable working on a computer for extended periods of time and around the production floor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 10 years of experience working in a machine shop environment.
