The Production Assembler will be responsible for reading and understanding work orders, locates and picks items from the warehouse, and packs items for shipment. Position Responsibilities:
Pull and follow Customer Orders
Verify that merchandise is correct for the work order and finalize/fulfill the shipment
Complete kits and ensures specifications are accurate to production order/ BOM
Expedite and follow through on “HOT / RUSH” parts and “Daily’s”
Process and follow Production Orders; accurately follow assembly instructions when needed
Assemble and pack pallets for freight shipments
Help maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Operate warehouse machinery including forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
Other duties as assigned or needed
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
Able to multitask and prioritize
Effective time management and organizational skills
Detail oriented regarding to part numbers and counting elements in a moving environment
Able to work alone or with others to complete tasks
Knowledge/use/skills with basic hand tools
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues during assembly
Experience:
1+ years of product assembly or mechanical experience required
Previous experience using computer systems to access and document records preferred
Forklift experience preferred but not required
Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues during assembly
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing Environment
Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
