Shipping and Receiving/Sourcing Specialist
Part Time position with full time hours for the first 30 days
Shipping and Receiving/Sourcing Specialist is responsible for contacting external suppliers as well as shipping and packaging materials and coordinating part transport as well as work assist the Office Manager with any sourcing needs. Oversee all material for shipping and receiving, make sure all info matches PO-Do pickups and deliveries. Keep warehouse/office neat and clean
Essential Functions:
Some Knowledgeable in Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping & Receiving.
Check materials to ensure that they match purchase orders and submit discrepancy reports when problems are found.
Count or estimate quantities of materials, parts, or products received or shipped.
Generate, prepare, and attach identification and shipping labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.
Make deliveries and pickups when needed.
Select reliable sources in accordance with established guidelines, requests bids as necessary, evaluates quotations and make final supplier selection in consultation with office Manager.
Prioritize and follow up on material shortages and delays to ensure timely delivery and minimize production slow-downs or work stoppages
Maintain Accurate Purchasing, Inventory Records, and status reports on items required
Work closely with Office Manager to ensure materials are sourced in a timely manner
Assist accounting and purchasing department in verifying receiving information including price and quantity.
Qualifications: Knowledge of general business computer software using email/ Microsoft and aptitude to learn applications. Ability to operate Forklift is a plus.
