We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Back Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support in the back office, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice. This role requires a strong background in medical reception, office management, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.

- Manage front desk duties, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and handling phone calls.

- Utilize computer skills to maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical histories and filing documents.

- Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, and preparing patient charts.

- Support office management by performing tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient and timely completion.

- Utilize computer literacy to perform tasks efficiently, such as computerizing patient records and utilizing electronic medical records (EMRs).

- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers through excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.

- Perform other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Post-secondary education in medical reception or a related field is an asset.

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a medical office setting is preferred.

- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in computerized medical records and electronic medical records (EMRs).

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work in a team environment and support the needs of other staff members.

- Strong communication and phone etiquette skills.

- Bilingualism is an asset, but not a requirement.

- Computer literacy and familiarity with office software is essential.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
