Daykai Excavation LLC is actively seeking an experienced and motivated Excavation Team Leader to oversee day-to-day operations on grading and excavation projects. This position plays a critical role in managing field crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of excavation crews.
Track and report daily production, labor hours, equipment use, and material consumption.
Communicate clearly and consistently with project managers, subcontractors, and team members.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control standards.
Read and interpret construction plans.
Operate a variety of heavy equipment as needed (dozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, compactors, skid steers, etc.).
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.
Qualifications
Required Certifications: OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction
Proficiency with grade-checking tools
Proven leadership and crew management experience
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and varying weather
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (E-Verify required)
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
