Hook Crane Services is seeking a skilled crane/heavy equipment mechanic to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs of various trucks and cranes in our fleet. You will work independently most of the time, troubleshoot issues, and be responsible for researching and ordering parts as needed. All tasks must be performed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform safe and cost-effective maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues with trucks and cranes as needed
Must be able to read prints/manuals
Conduct safety inspections and complete associated paperwork
Maintain accurate records using the mobile app provided
Communicate effectively with team members
Support crane operators in various duties
Promote and uphold safety standards
Great record keeping and self-motivation is essential
Qualifications:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
Mechanic Certificate/License
5 years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic preferred
Strong skills for diagnostics
Ability to troubleshoot gas and diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
