POSITION SUMMARY:
Apply plaster, cement, stucco, EIFS or similar materials to exterior of building.
Tasks:
1. Follow safety rules, regulation, and maintain a safe and clean environment.
2. Apply coats of stucco to walls, ceilings of buildings, using trowels/hawk working behind a pump.
3. May mix materials to desired consistency or direct workers who perform mixing.
4. Apply EIFS systems materials such as weather barriers, foam, rasp foam, cut grooves, basecoat and finish.
5. Clean and prepare surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, stucco, EIFS or similar materials.
6. Apply one coat or three coat stucco.
7. Able to spread and finish lace, sand smooth or acrylic textures.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with other related tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Plastering Experience Preferred - willing to train those with Stucco experience.
Own all required tools for plastering and EIFS work.
Must be able to recognize proper consistency of product being applied.
Must know manufacturer’s product specifications.
Must be proficient in the following plaster applications/techniques: brown coat, scratch coat, finish coat, floating a surface, texturing a service, dash, darby, and sand finishing a surface.
Must be proficient in the following EIFS applications/techniques: drainage strips, diverter track, grid tape, backstop, aqua flash and mesh tape, stick foam, rasp foam, snap lines, cut grooves, stick pop-outs, base coat and mesh, impact (panzer) mesh, back wrap, skim coat, dry flex, hone, finish coat.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Must be able to work in a crew/team environment within identified production rates
Must understand safety requirements in: fall protection, application techniques, material hazards
10 HR OSHA Certified preferred but not required.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be a hard worker - daily attendance required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 100lbs throughout the day
Workers need to be in good physical condition and have good eye-hand coordination, a sense of balance and manual dexterity.
Must not be afraid of heights.
Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures (heat and cold).
Must not be afraid of heights.

WORKING CONDITONS:
As in many other construction trades, this work is physically demanding, employee will spend 85% or more time outdoors in extreme (summer) to moderate (winter) temperature, and most of the day on your feet, either standing, bending, stretching, or kneeling. Some workers need to use stilts; others may have to lift and maneuver heavy, cumbersome materials. Hazards include falls from ladders and scaffolds, and injuries from power tools and from working with sharp tools, such as utility knives.
