We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Shuttle Driver to join our team transporting University of Arizona students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience during their journey. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle.
Shifts:
M-F 10AM-4PM
Saturday 9:45AM-12:30PM
Shuttle runs during academic school year. We do not operate during Thanksgiving, Christmas Break, Spring Break, or Summer.
Duties
Safely operate shuttle vehicles, including vans and buses, to transport passengers to one location.
Maintain a professional demeanor while communicating with passengers and providing assistance as needed.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Assist passengers with heavy lifting of luggage or equipment when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shuttle vehicle at all times.
Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly to management.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any passenger inquiries or concerns during transit.
Experience
Previous experience as a commercial driver, delivery driver, or in a similar role is required.
Familiarity with limousine, paratransit, or bus driving operations is a plus.
Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with passengers and team members effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory; additional certifications may be required depending on the vehicle type operated.
