We are currently seeking a skilled and professional Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least five years of experience to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual to grow alongside our firm and contribute to its continued success.
Position Details
Starting Salary: $90,000 (commensurate with experience)
Benefits: Comprehensive 401(k) plan
Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of CPA experience in public and private accounting
Work Schedule: Expect overtime hours during tax season and when meeting other deadlines
About the Role
In this position, you will deliver a wide range of accounting services with precision and professionalism. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a polished demeanor to maintain the highest level of client service.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct professional tax interviews with clients, demonstrating knowledge and confidence
Gather, organize, and review necessary financial documents with efficiency
Prepare and review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy
Provide strategic advice to clients regarding tax codes and business operations
Process and file state and federal payroll taxes
Reconcile bank and other financial statements with precision
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
Maintain open, clear communication with the IRS, state agencies, and clients
Keep highly organized and up-to-date client files
Qualifications and Expectations
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
Minimum of 5 years of professional CPA experience (corporate and personal tax experience preferred)
Proficiency in QuickBooks (QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is a plus)
Strong technical skills, including advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to excel in deadline-driven environments, including overtime hours during tax season and when meeting other deadlines
Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for client-facing roles
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
