Position SummaryWhat you'll doAbout Our Team:The Walmart Omni Tech Supply Chain Innovation team researches, identifies, and develops analytical supply chain products that drive cost efficiencies. Our team takes end-to-end ownership in solving complex supply chain problems using technology and data. We're seeking motivated, results-oriented individuals to build innovative products, from concept to deployment.What you'll do:As a Senior, Data Scientist in Global Tech, you will work with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and product managers to build products. You will:
Conceptualize, research, and identify gaps in current business processes.
Structure ambiguous problems, formulate hypotheses, gather and analyze data, and provide clear recommendations using tools such as BigQuery, Microsoft Power BI, Excel, R, Python
Build scalable and complex supply chain models and processes to optimize supply chain.
Lead the data discovery for complex technical projects while navigating multiple data sources
Demonstrate a high degree of creativity when developing solutions to improve existing supply chain processes, utilizing methods such as statistical analysis, and optimization.
Work effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best solutions and move people and organizations to act.
What you'll bring (Skills required):
Knowledge of retail supply chain and one or more business practices across domains such as product, finance, marketing, technology, business systems.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
Experience with large dataset mining tools and open-source programming tools (e.g., R, Python).
Experience solving network / inventory / transportation optimization problems using integer. Programming.
Ability to deconstruct an abstract problem, formulate hypotheses, identify the right-metrics and data sources and conduct detailed analyses to explain the business context.
Experience in navigating ambiguity and building rapid business cases/ prototypes to improve business performance.
Hands-on experience in conducting advanced analyses to provide recommendation of applicability and efficiency of product features.
Experience using the following analytics and reporting tools: Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel.
