A Program Mmanager articulates a program’s strategy and objectives and assesses how it will impact a business. He or she must define and oversee a list of dependent projects needed to reach the program’s overall goals. Think of a program manager as an architect who sketches a blueprint. While architects don’t install plumbing or drywall, they make sure all these pieces come together to create a beautiful home. The program manager’s role extends beyond the completion of individual projects to the long-term realization of the whole program.Their responsibilities include enlisting teams, implementing strategies, measuring ROI, and other big picture initiatives. A program manager’s duties might include overseeing collaboration across project teams and defining what the proper success metrics are.Supporting the success of the largest partners within Acxiom through the following:

Organizing and executing multiple simultaneous programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the Channel & Alliances organization to ensure maximum success and greater scale

Providing constructive and value-added management of a Channel & Alliances engagement ensuring understanding and alignment on business opportunity, critical milestones, risks, issues, dependencies between all cross functional teams involved, often including platform/partner

Managing a cross functional program and team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities from Channel & Alliances, our partners/platforms, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance, People, etc.

Holding cross functional project teams accountable for their assigned objectives and tasks

Developing new programs and managing long-term goals to support the strategic direction of the organization

Developing an operating plan for the program and providing any budgetary requirements as needed for evaluation and assisting with funding proposals, if required

Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement

Ensuring goals are met in many areas including program/project timelines, partner/customer satisfaction, working team(s) performance, budgetary restraints, etc. via implementing and managing changes and intervening where needed

Meeting with cross functional stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and execution decisions

Identifying and analyzing program risks/issues and bringing the right stakeholders together to decide on a path forward

Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status/issues throughout its life cycle utilizing proper program/project/reporting management tools

Requirements:

BA/BS in Business Administration or equivalent; MBA preferred but not required

5+ years proven experience in program and project management, certifications a plus but not required

Proven cross functional stakeholder management/team management experience

Working knowledge of Channel & Alliances/Partnerships/Direct Sales and their go to market processes

Working knowledge of how data companies operate and the data they create and/or steward

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Proven experience using Program/Project/Reporting management tools

Creativeness, resourcefulness and the ability to work independently

Gravitas to have difficult discussions and make difficult decisions

Experience engaging with senior leadership both internally and those at our partners

Strong written, verbal, editing, and presentation skills

A deep sense of ownership and accountability

Team player
