Archie’s is a brand new locally owned & operated establishment aiming to bring excellent sandwiches (and more), quality, service and atmosphere with a budget minded menu. We are looking for folks that are either service industry veterans or newbies to help bring this new concept to light in early-mid June, ‘25.

Located on a very convenient and bustling corner of NW 3rd and N. Walton, we aim to utilize the heavy traffic and street view to capitalize on fast assembly menu items and patio vibes. This establishment is new so everyone is fresh staff, but this offers the potential for quick acceleration in job position. Archie’s will be a counter culture establishment and there will be little to no table service.

Opening hours at Archie’s will be 7a -10p and over that course of time there will be 3 separate shifts with 2 main job roles occurring during the whole day. Both positions will work hand in hand, in many cases, to make this a very fast turn business that will get our customers their orders efficiently.

At Archie’s there is not a 100% defined job position as all people will rotate positions over time to cross train and cross understand the inner workings of each department. Knowing how to handle customers, make sandwiches and pour beverages is how we will keep the establishment and team strong.

All positions start at minimum wage of 11per hour, but with tips added and equitably shared across staff. With projected sales volumes, I expect wages to nearly double after tips.

Beverage & Customer Crew -

Archie’s will be serving the general public with a very curated, but diverse mix of beverages. There will be coffee, tea, cocktails, wine and beer. To be able to achieve all this our equipment and operations will be concise, just like the menu. By utilizing automated equipment, ready to pour drink options and small lists rather than complex ones it will allow the staff member (you) to pay close attention to our customer’s experience and make sure it's an exceptional one. In this roll you can expect to:

- Work 8-9hrs per shift and 4-5 days per week at full time

- Start at 11per hour +tips

- Be the first line of communication with customers as they walk in the door. And likely the last as the exit.

-Learning and serving a rotating cocktail menu of roughly 10 drinks at a time. Most will include 3 ingredients. On top of this, learning and pouring excellent wine, beer and coffee.

- Keeping a spotless environment that will always be on view to customers while they’re in the store. There are no doors or protective view walls in this establishment. Everything is open kitchen here.

- Keeping a spotless customer environment as well. Running a business that will be high turn means also having an efficient one. Cleanliness goes hand in hand with this. Ex: all seating is bolted to the ground. This will help overall composure of the store while also minimizing your tasks

- Cleaning and polishing stemware, cleaning dishware, collecting dirty dishes, taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning outdoor patio and landscaping. All of this will take place multiple times per shift.

In this role we are looking for outgoing individuals that know how to communicate while staying on task and can always keep a positive attitude. More customers in the door means more opportunities for the business and you, the employee.

Archie’s is a small business with an indirect attached storage and office space so there will be multiple times per day that shelves need to be restocked.

Kitchen Crew -

Something I never liked working in a kitchen is working with inherently dirty materials. Fryers, burners and heavy equipment that never moves. In this kitchen we primarily work around cold prep and assembly with a menu very focused on sub sandwiches that are clean in the kitchen and on the diet. Although we offer an all-day menu, this kitchen focuses on quick assembly and muscle memory when stacking the ingredients.

This kitchen position is always on view and you will occasionally interact with customers, though it is the heart of the restaurant and therefore will be tipped out accordingly.

Duties would include -

- Work 8-9hrs per shift and 4-5 days per week at full time.

- Start at 11per hour +tips.

- Food prep, food production/expo and making sure food always goes out the same way. Consistency is key to customer return.

In this role you are much less likely to deal directly with customers, but it is important to still be affable and know how to properly interact with customers

- Keeping a spotless customer environment as well. Running a business that will be high turn means also having an efficient one. Cleanliness goes hand in hand with this. Ex: all equipment is moveable and will be on an almost daily basis. We also have long 4ft, not 4inch, drains and the entire kitchen can be wiped down and swept into a drain.

- Multiple times per day you will be expected to do dishes, take out trash, and cover areas outside of the kitchen.

Organization will be an integral skill in this position as the space is small. So small that we have off-site storage and office. Properly labeling, efficiently managing inventory and restocking effectively will be key.
