Seeking Experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant
We are an established veterinary practice that has served the NW Arkansas area for over 30 years. We are expanding our practice to include after hours and emergency. We will open our beautiful new location in Fall of 2019. We are seeking experienced emergency and critical care veterinary technicians and assistants for full time and part time positions to assist our veterinarians with a variety of emergency procedures and critical care situations. You must be able to react quickly and remain calm under pressure to assist with emergency cases as they arrive. Routine responsibilities for emergency vet techs and assistants will include caring for animals in the intensive care unit, monitoring vitals, placing catheters, taking x-rays, cleaning wounds, applying casts or bandages, handling surgical equipment, giving injections, taking blood samples, giving fluids, and updating case files. You will be required to work night and weekend shifts to ensure proper care is administered to current critical cases and incoming emergencies. Hourly pay based on certification and/or experience. Evening shifts will receive a shift deferential.
