Accepting resumes to fill a full-time Assistant Maintenance Technician position. You will be working directly with our maintenance supervisor. Full-time position offers insurance options, paid vacations. You will need to have your own transportations to get to and from work. A company truck & gas is paid to drive while on the job. Background check and clean driving record must be passed in order to be added on the company vehicle insurance.
Job Duties
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, creative and energetic with the ability to bring experience and expertise to the position.
Will assist with the day-to-day maintenance operations of the company, aimed at maintaining the company's continued success.
Complete maintenance requests and complete apartment turns/make-readies, apartment painting, complete preventative maintenance projects and many other duties associated with maintenance.
Ensure maintenance vehicles and equipment are kept clean and maintained properly, to maximize lifespan.
Ensure that all equipment and machinery is kept in good condition. This includes but is not limited to domestic hot water heaters, boilers, and furnaces. air conditioning units and pumps, storage tanks. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections.
Ensure all necessary maintenance materials are on site as needed, organized, and inventoried.
Keep organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas at all times
Maintain good resident relations and promptly inform the property manager of any potential or existing problems. Communication with residents should be cordial and professional at all time.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid Driver's License
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Must have own transportation to get to work- Work vehicle provided once on the clock
HVAC or EPA certification preferred but not required
Must possess good service and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift an object up to 50 lbs.
Required Experience:
Minimum 1-2-year related work experience preferred
Knowledge of working safely with power tools and electricity
Strong skill in diagnoses electrical, plumbing and appliances
Experience with tile, cabinets, trim, sheetrock and building material.
Basic computer and internet skills
