Electrical Sign Service Technician

We are looking for a motivated and highly dependable individual with a great work ethic who has at least one-year experience servicing and installing signs (both lighted and non-lighting) and parking lot lights.

[We are willing to consider training individuals without sign service experience, but with some construction experience and a working knowledge of basic electricity, at a lower starting pay. You cannot have a fear of heights with this position, as you will be working out of a 37' bucket truck and a 77' crane with a remote basket, and you must be able to lift at least 75 pounds. During training your workday will generally start at 8:30AM.]

You should:

- have a good driving record

- have experience working with hand and power tools

- have experience working on ladders, scaffolding and platforms

- have common sense

- be detail oriented

- be able to read and follow work orders

- be able to read blueprints, schematics and diagrams

- be able to use a multi-meter and other electrical diagnostic tools

- be analytical and a problem solver

- be able to work well without supervision

- be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing

Your responsibilities will include:

- service to signs and parking lot and building area lighting

- sign and lighting installations

- assisting with shop fabrication when needed

- ensuring all work is done properly and professionally

- following company and customer required protocols without fail

- completing all job documentation accurately and in detail in a timely manner

A valid driver's license and dependable transportation is required. CDL is a plus but not required in order to be hired - though you must be willing and able to study for a Class B straight truck commercial driver's license. We will pay for all costs associated with obtaining the CDL.

Typical hours can range from 7:30AM to 6PM Monday thru Thursday and 8AM to 4PM on Fridays. However, you must be able to work later on days when the location you are working at requires it in order to complete the job. Fridays can be optional if you already have 40 billable hours for the week but you must still be flexible to work a Friday if needed.
