Framer, General Carpentry, Finish Carpentry & Drywall Hanger Needed
We need 1 experienced carpenter with a minimum of 10 years of verifiable experience. Must be experienced in wood framers, rough carpentry, setting trusses and finish carpentry. We have custom remodels, commercial framing and residential jobs located throughout the Fayetteville & Elkins Area. Great pay $20-$25 per hour and room for advancement. Immediate job openings. Must have truck and tools of the trade. We need a quality master carpenter for rehabs and new high-end construction projects. If you consider yourself to be the top of your trade, you’re our person. We expect absolute quality on all of our projects with superior workmanship on every aspect of the job. Must be able to work independently and communicate to other trades. Must have your own tools and reliable truck. (READ ENTIRE AD BEFORE RESPONDING)
Ability to follow blueprints or drawings to complete according to specifications
Extremely familiar with latest code requirements
Experience in proper operation of a variety of power hand tools (must have your own tools, compressors, table saw, chop saw, circular saw, nail guns, etc…)
Attention to detail and we do EXTREME quality work (no average carpenter needed)
Basic math skills
Cutting, measuring, and installing drywall and components to both wood and metal framing.
We do both stick and metal stud framing (Experience in both preferred)
Drywall hanging and finishing preferred (Must have hopper for knockdown and all hand tools)
Safety is Job #1 and must maintain a safe and clean work environment (Job cleaned and swept at end of everyday)
Erect and assemble floors, walls and ceilings using the necessary tools, material and supplies
Lay out and cut openings for windows, doors and vent areas (Wood Structures and Metal Structures)
Install sheet metal panels, metal molding, metal exterior parts and accessories using hand and power tools.
Fasten panels to frame and trim to shape, using the necessary tools and materials
Cutting, measuring, and installing drywall and components to metal and wood stud framing. (50-75 Boards Minimum Per Day and Must have Tools and Jacks)
Finish carpenter skilled professional who applies the final touches to building projects. This includes molding, trim, stairs, doors, cabinets, shelving, and hardware.
Reliable Truck Required
Tools of the trade (Hand Tools, Table Saw, Chop Saw, Air Compressor, Nail Guns, Generator, etc… )
Conscientious Workmanship with attention to quality.
Experienced in both wood framing and metal framing.
Drywall installation and finishing a huge plus.
Only punctual and responsible carpenters need apply
All subcontractor carpenters will be on a 1099 basis (no taxes withheld).
Most Jobs are in the greater Elkins Area (must live within 25 miles)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting blueprints: Carpentry work from blueprints, sketches, and building plans to meet client specifications
Measuring, cutting, and shaping materials: Use hand and power tools to create and install detailed structures and fixtures, primarily using wood.
Repairing and replacing damaged wood products or fixtures
Ensuring proper installation and safety standards for all carpentry structures
Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the worksite
Ordering supplies and materials as needed (Maintain a daily material list book)
Coordinating with other professionals and communicating with supervisor.
