Job Title: Measure Tech - Flooring Installation Industry – Employee/Independent Contractor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and personable Measure Tech to join our reputable flooring installation company. As a Measure Tech, you will play a crucial role in our operations, utilizing your sales, customer service, and technical skills to provide accurate measurements and exceptional service to our clients. You will be responsible for measuring and documenting floor spaces using our company-provided tools and software, ensuring precise estimates for flooring installations. The ideal candidate should possess a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities:

Utilize company-provided tools and equipment, including Surface Tablets, laser measuring devices, proprietary software, and moisture meters, to accurately measure and document floor spaces.

Collect necessary data such as room dimensions, angles, and potential obstacles, ensuring precise estimates for flooring installations.

Conduct thorough assessments of subfloors, identifying any moisture or structural issues that may impact the installation process.

Collaborate with sales representatives and project managers to ensure accurate and detailed estimates are provided to clients in a timely manner.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings, pricing structures, and installation procedures to effectively address customer inquiries and provide suitable recommendations.

Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the measuring process, addressing client concerns, providing product information, and establishing rapport to foster positive customer relationships.

Maintain accurate records of measurements, assessments, and client interactions in our company database.

Continuously update knowledge and skills through training programs and staying informed about industry trends and advancements.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or education is a plus.

Proven experience in sales, customer service, or a related field, preferably within the flooring or construction industry.

Familiarity with flooring materials, installation methods, and subfloor preparation is highly desirable.

Proficiency in using technology tools such as Surface Tablets, laser measuring devices, and proprietary software.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring precise measurements and documentation.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, sales representatives, and project managers.

Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
