Shift- A Shift 6am-4:30pm
Monday-Thursday
Responsible for loading, unloading, preparing, cleaning, and operating a vehicle to transport products and materials to specified destinations.
Job Performance
Participates in team and quality activities.
Preform Pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicles
Report any mechanical or unsafe findings to manager as soon as they occur
Maintain log books
Prepare and package parts for shipment
Ensure cargo is secured properly compliant with safety regulations
Loads, unloads or assists in loading and unloading truck
Verifying incoming and outgoing material/product counts
Keep truck and associated equipment tidy and in good working order
Must be able to operate and maintain a Forklift Certification
Must maintain a Vehicle Operator license and be insurable through FM's Vehicle Insurance.
Must maintain a DOT medical card
Deliver materials via the most effective route to ensure materials/orders are delivered according to established
time frames and customers' needs
Perform machine shop duties when there are no deliveries
Maintains acceptable levels of attendance and punctuality.
Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and instructions.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Physical Requirements
Ability to adequately work with appropriate tools and equipment, frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel
objects, tools, or controls.
Must have Adequate mobility for stooping, bending, lifting, strength and grip requirements necessary to
frequently manipulate and/or lift products weighing up to 40 lbs. Frequently required to stand/sit, regularly
required to reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Must wear Safety glasses with side shields in all production areas and hearing protection must be worn in
designated areas at all times.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, heat and cold temperatures vary according to season.
This position is considered a high risk position due to driving company vehicle and the manufacturing
environment, moving machinery and forklift traffic.
High School/GED or equivalent work experience may be substituted for education requirements. At least 1 year experience driving a delivery truck. Must be able to read, understand, and communicate using the English language. Computer skills preferred.
