Accountant

Description We are seeking an Accountant to join our team located in Little Rock, Arkansas. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where you will be tasked with the management of accounts payable and receivable, general ledger upkeep, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner. Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Respond to and resolve any customer inquiries regarding their accounts. Monitor customer accounts for irregularities and take appropriate action when necessary. Conduct various accounting assignments as directed. Utilize your skills in General Ledger management to provide comprehensive financial information. Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures. Collaborate with other team members to ensure all financial deadlines are met. Assist in the preparation of financial reports when required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service quality. Requirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Prior experience in an accounting role is strongly preferred. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus but not mandatory. Must be open to continuous learning and development in the field of accounting.
