Description Key Responsibilities:
Provide Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in person.
Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, including operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
Document Solutions: Log all help desk interactions and document issue resolution procedures in a clear and concise manner.
Escalate Complex Problems: Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or specialized teams when necessary, ensuring timely resolution.
User Account Management: Assist with setting up and managing user accounts, passwords, and access rights.
Software Installation and Updates: Install, configure, and update software applications as needed.
System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and antivirus management.
User Training: Provide end-user training on common software and hardware issues, as well as IT policies and procedures.
Monitor System Performance: Keep track of system performance, ensuring all IT systems are functioning optimally.
Maintain Inventory: Manage and track IT equipment and software licenses.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
Certifications: A+ Certification, Network+ Certification, or other relevant IT certifications are a plus.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
