Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join a thriving Medical Practice specializing in Cosmetic Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and play a vital role in the financial operations of a cutting-edge healthcare facility.Responsibilities:
Billing and Coding: Utilize knowledge of medical billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to accurately code and submit claims for reimbursement.
Claims Processing: Submit insurance claims electronically and through paper submission methods, ensuring compliance with all regulations and guidelines.
Payment Processing: Post payments and adjustments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, including pre-authorization requirements for cosmetic procedures.
Patient Billing: Generate and send patient statements, answer billing inquiries, and assist patients with understanding their financial obligations.
Revenue Cycle Management: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, identify trends, and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance.
Compliance: Stay current with healthcare regulations, coding updates, and insurance industry changes to ensure billing practices remain compliant.
Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and streamline processes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience, preferably in a cosmetic medicine or dermatology setting.
Knowledge: Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks) and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Certification: Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credentials preferred.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when coding and processing claims.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify billing discrepancies, resolve issues, and implement solutions to improve billing processes.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing regulations, technology, and industry standards.
