ResponsibilitiesAssists in assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are available for surgery

Terminally cleans and disinfects machines and equipment between procedures and at end of shift

Maintains par levels of and rotate for outdated anesthesia and surgery supplies in all appropriate areas i.e. anesthesia dispense room, center core areas, operating room suites, specialty carts, satellite areas, etc.

Assists OR personnel in restocking/returning supplies onto exchange carts.

Monitors and maintains medical gas cylinders (gases).

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of correct procedure for transporting, placement and safety of cylinders.

Procure emergency supplies from pharmacy and central service as requested by Supervisor

Transports equipment, machines and supplies when required.

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of the rationale and safety necessary when assisting coworkers in moving and positioning patients on the O.R. table.

Demonstrates understanding of basic principles, rationale and safety when using the Autoclave and VPro to flash items as requested.

QualificationsHigh School diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent.
