This position will be a full-time contract and remote .What You’ll Do

Perform analysis of on-prem and cloud security and monitor security operations, including security architecture reviews

Ensure regulatory requirements are met and stay up to date on industry standards and trends

Provide Windows and Linux operating system and application support

Implement security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data

Perform proactive research to identify and understand new threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits

Ensure all networks have adequate security and all security systems are current

Support Oracle, MSSQL, and Postgres database systems

Review violations of computer security procedures and discuss procedures with HHSC/TIERS Security team

Orchestrate and participate in project calls including kick-off, notification of findings, and close-out calls

Prepare concise written reports and communicate effectively verbally and in writing

What You'll NeedRequired:

8 years of experience identifying problems/issues, analyzing alternatives, and recommending/implementing effective solutions

8 years of experience providing Windows and Linux operating system and application support

8 years of experience with network facilities, data processing techniques, computer hardware and software, network operating systems, security software, and performance monitoring tools

8 years of experience implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data

8 years of experience ensuring network security and maintaining current security systems

8 years of experience performing proactive research on new threats and implementing safety procedures

8 years of experience working with and implementing NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, MARS-E controls, POA&Ms, and developing Corrective Action Plans

8 years of experience reviewing violations of computer security procedures and discussing with users

8 years of experience providing Oracle, MSSQL, and Postgres database support

Preferred:

5 years of experience working with Archer GRC, Dynatrace, Splunk, Imperva Web Application Firewall, Qualys, and MS Office tools

5 years of experience training staff on network and information security procedures

5 years of experience with ITIL methodology-ticketing using Remedy and ServiceNow

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
