What You’ll DoIn this veterinary leadership role, you’ll be responsible for the administrative and operational functions that keep the hospital running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:Lead, schedule, train, coach, and support veterinary hospital staffPartner with leadership on staffing needs, hiring, onboarding, performance, and personnel mattersRecruit team members who align with the hospital’s culture and veterinary care standardsMaintain employee schedules and ensure appropriate staffing based on hospital needsAddress employee and client concerns fairly, professionally, and promptlyMaintain strong communication between veterinary staff, doctors, clients, and leadershipManage inventory, ordering, equipment, returns, and vendor relationshipsMonitor product quantities, pricing, and controlled-substance inventoryHelp implement and maintain hospital policies, including DEA/controlled substance and OSHA requirementsEnsure payroll is completed accurately and on timeSupport accurate patient records and proper use of veterinary terminologyAssist clients with questions about hospital policies, appointments, services, and treatment costsNotify the appropriate veterinary team members of emergency casesRepresent and market the hospital within the local community and veterinary community
