Come join the Homestead! Remodel work, farm hand. Housijg

Please fully read. I will try and be as detailed as possible.

I'm wanting to put forth the effort to find the right person and I hope you are willing to do the same….

Looking for someone to help with general labor and to help me out with many different projects here on the homestead.

The task will be different each dayI just need someone that shows up with a good attitude , is a problem solver and not problem creator and can follow directions and can communicate well.

The Homestead is a really cool, unique, gorgeous, 140 acres with 1-mile of river frontage, its own private cave that’s huge, beach, and open hay fields.

It's going to need a full time person to stay working on it constantly and improving it and working on the long “to-do list and wishlist” I have for the place.

So work will consist of many different types of task.

If you want the same routine every day, this is not the job for you.

Examples of the task will be… Moving stuff from our old farm to this new one, organizing, fencing, setting up the new shop, building a nice chicken coop, working cattle/goats, random home improvement task like painting and home remodeling type stuff (flooring drywall etc), pressure washing, fixing equipment when it breaks (if you can), mowing grass with new zero turn, cutting trees with chainsaw and clearing land. Cleaning , washing cars, doing oil changes, maybe even dozer and Trackhoes work. If you can run a Backhoe or excavator and have diesel and hydraulic repair knowledge that would be awesome. You will be using tractors and fixing stuff as they break.

If you are a married couple. We are open to that. We would love someone that cooks and cleans and helps with a garden and helping with kids. My wife is expecting so having that kind of help would be awesome!

This is the perfect job for a Jack of All, master of none, type of person. Major bonus points for Someone that’s mechanical, and can fix a chainsaw and weed-eater, someone that’s knows carpentry construction stuff, or has experience with machinery. Welding knowledge would be a plus. Home remodeling skills is a plus.

This is not a make a huge paycheck every week type of job. This is for someone that wants to live this way and enjoys this kind of life.

My “to-do” list is long and never-ending and I have constant long-term work for someone that will show up every day. I'm looking for someone that's around for the next 10 years instead of 10 days.

I want to be a good boss and good friend and am looking for a good employee and friend. I will demand the best and ask a lot from you but I like to have fun and like to include the folks that are helping me accomplish things to have fun too.

The person needs to be able to be productive and work by themselves. I won't be able to work with you constantly. I will as needed, and when I can, but normally I will go over with you what I want you to do, give you a to-do list, then let you do it without me standing over your shoulder. I'll check back in and see what progress has been made.

I'm sure you realize by now, This is a very noncompany/corporate work environment.

Some possible perks of the job can be… Housing, (A Cell phone - vehicle to drive. and possible housing could be in it for the right person that proves themselves trustworthy and dependable. (I have a rustic 1 bedroom -1 bathroom cabin on the property that I would be open to you living on the homestead. (it does have power , hot water and AC in the bedroom)

I want to offer things that might have value and can hopefully save me some money at the same time and be a win-win for both of us.

If you love fishing and kayaking and hunting, or the homestead type life there should some cool perks there too. There’s tons of fun to be had on the river.

I’m not looking for someone that smokes. Sorry, I've tried to overlook this in the past but folks that don’t smoke just seem to always be better. (I’m sorry if that offends ya. )

Pay can be cash or w2 We can discuss what works best for you

By the way…. The purpose of me writing this post this long and this way, is to keep the wrong people from applying and wasting time. I'm not looking for a bunch of applicants like most job listings, I'm here looking for the one or two right people that will fit in long-term with me.

(If you have read to this point, you probably know if this is the right opportunity you are looking for or not. )

If you think this job is what you want.

Email me 8 things in this order (This is the first test to make sure you can follow instructions.)

I want…

1-Your Name

2-Age

3-Phone#

4- What Town you live in.

5- Some general Info about you. Tell me your story. (The longer the better, you can even include a picture of you if you'd like)

6- What kind of Pay you are hoping for and expecting?

7- What you think is special or different about you over other people (Special skills or Training or knowledge you have )

8- Three Things you like about yourself that are (Positives). & three 3-things that you think could improve about you (Negatives)

A tiny bit about me. I'm 39, Married, Christian. Have one young one and another on the way. I work in the business world and trying to transition fully to living rural life and setting up my forever home. I have a big piece of acreage with about 1 mile of river frontage and looking for my right hand man that’s around all the time to help me turn it into the ranch and awesome place it's supposed to be and is excited to be part of something like this instead of just looking for a job.

If you take the time email me the 8 things listed above, I will make a commitment to reach back out to you.

Even if you are not the right fit, I will give you enough respect to take time to respond and let you know so you aren't left hanging like a lot of job listings would.

Look fw to speaking with you!
