We are hiring for an assistant maintenance technician position. You will be working directly with our maintenance supervisor. This is a Monday-Friday position but you will need to be on call for emergencies 2 week-ends a month. You will need to have your own transportations to get to and from work. Background check and drug screening will be performed. We will give you on the job training as well.
Job Duties
⢠The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, creative and energetic with the ability to bring experience and expertise to the position. Common Sense plays a pretty major part!
⢠Will assist with the day-to-day maintenance operations of the company, aimed at maintaining the company's continued success.
⢠Complete maintenance requests and complete apartment turns/make-readies, apartment painting, complete preventative maintenance projects and many other duties associated with maintenance.
⢠Ensure that all equipment and machinery is kept in good condition. This includes but is not limited to hot water heaters, furnaces. air conditioning units and pumps, storage tanks. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections.
⢠Ensure all necessary maintenance materials are on site as needed, organized, and inventoried.
⢠Keep organized and safe maintenance shop and storage areas at all times
Maintain swimming pool at all times.
⢠Maintain good resident relations and promptly inform the property manager of any potential or existing problems. Communication with residents should be cordial and professional at all time.
Qualifications:
⢠Must have a valid Driver's License
⢠Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
⢠Must have own transportation to get to work.
⢠HVAC or EPA certification preferred - but not required
⢠Must possess good service and communication skills
⢠Extremely Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
⢠Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
⢠Must be able to lift an object up to 50 lbs.
Required Experience:
⢠Minimum 3-year related work experience - necessary
⢠Knowledge of working safely with power tools and electricity
⢠Strong skill in diagnoses electrical, plumbing and appliances
⢠Experience with tile, cabinets, trim, sheetrock and building material.
⢠Basic computer and internet skills
