The Delivery Manager leads a team that manages the delivery of floral arrangements and gifts to customers and ensures they receive outstanding customer experience. They do this by making efficient deliveries on time. The individual should be a natural leader with excellent interpersonal skills. This position will supervise 8 – 12 drivers.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee delivery and routing of local deliveries of product.
Manage productivity and improve efficiency for delivery staff.
Provide ongoing staff training
Coordinates work processes to minimize accidents by adhering to safety policies.
Oversight of completion of appropriate paperwork and delivery drivers handling according.
Assists the delivery department in accomplishing delivery and quality standards.
Ensures that maintenance of all delivery and service vehicles are completed.
Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all team members and other store personnel.
Oversees accurate and efficient loading of all vehicles for the delivery of retail home products to the end consumer
Assist with building and ground maintenance
Job Requirements
Knowledge of the Pulaski County, Arkansas area is preferred.
Valid Arkansas driver's license, smartphone with GPS and clean driving record.
Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds.
Basic computer skills, communication skills and problem-solving skills.
Typical hours may vary depending on business and deliveries including some weekends.
Delivery experience is a plus.
Effective written and verbal communication.
High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Previous experience in Warehouse or Distribution operations is a plus.
Pre-employment drug testing and background check required.
