Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and responsible for all drivers compliance and company regulations. Maintain payroll, driver retention and sufficient operating ratio for maximum profitability.Job Description:ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers to minimize turnover and maximize ongoing productivity.

Assign loads and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements, including driver ETA adjustments based on pick-up and delivery schedules, and other environmental factors on the road.

Maintain the Company's safety culture to include daily driver safety messages, monthly driver safety briefings, quarterly driver training, annual reviews, and enforce company policies to ensure DOT compliance and company safety requirements are being met.

Work with the drivers, customers, and company personnel to resolve service, routing, mechanical problems, etc. as they occur throughout the day.

Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure all regular Preventative Maintenance services are scheduled on time and all safety related mechanical issues are fixed (as required.)

Resolve pay related issues for assigned drivers.

Perform administrative functions to include scheduling, payroll, driver counseling, accident reviews and regular reports.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises 30 drivers in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QUALIFICATIONSFour-year college degree OR three years supervisory experience/ transportation logistics experience OR Military Non Commissioned Officer, minimum E4 experience.Comparable combination of education, experience and training.Preferred Qualifications:Qualifications:Education:BachelorsLanguage:EnglishWork Experience:Transportation/LogisticsCertifications:Competencies:Customer Focus (JBH Rating Scale), Information Seeking (JBH Rating Scale), Team Leadership (JBH Rating Scale), Teamwork & Collaboration (JBH Rating Scale)Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
