This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.FunctionsResearches materials for course content by reading books, publications, policies, court decisions, and other sources. Conducts training needs assessments by developing and disseminating surveys, compiling survey data, interviewing manager and employees, and reviewing sources. Develops training courses from training directives, research, survey data, and other sources and writes course objectives, lesson plans, and course content. Conducts training courses through lectures and other training techniques and evaluates training through participants evaluation of course content. Schedules training, reserves training rooms, and writes participants and other involved personnel, informing them of the course schedule, content, and other requirements. Revises programs by updating course objectives, lesson plans, and course content.
