Pull packing slips and issue receiving report as required. Distribute relevant receiving report copies to plant personnel.
Communicate arrivals to plant personnel and deliver packages.
Manage carrier activities and resolve related problems. Follow up on delivery or pick-up problems.
Identify ship to stock and quality assurance items.
Identify consignment items.
Job Responsibilities
Enter receipts into the Oracle system and verify the accuracy and completeness of information
Review monthly PPM errors, determine root causes, and take corrective actions
Report damaged goods and shortages of goods. Input appropriate transactions
File freight damage claims as needed
Return damaged goods and input appropriate transactions in the information system to result in supplier debits
Receive service transactions as required to initiate payment for non-tangible service
Answer questions from other department employees regarding problem solving and exporting
Assist with material handling and delivery, as required
Background & Skills
High School diploma or GED
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Competence in operating Oracle applications
Problem solving skills
Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred
Good attendance record in prior duties
Good record of performance in prior positions held
Forklift driver license and/or experience preferred
