Are you ready to go beyond?The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Machinist Technician for 2nd shift after a period of training on 1st shift. The training hours are M-F, 6:30 am to 3 pm and permanent 2nd shift hours are M-F, 3 pm to 11:30 pm. This site employs 158 total. PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility. Competitive pay starting at $24 per hour, increased based on experience.Sign on bonus of $2000Key Responsibilities:
Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts.
Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements.
Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents.
Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met
Follow written work instructions and engine manual instructions.
Maintain a clean work environment.
Basic Qualifications:
2 years of machining experience/training to include set-up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical trade school degree in machining preferred.
5+ years of machining experience
5 axis horizontal or vertical milling experience
Experience with VTL, lathes, and T-lathes
