Hi! I'm looking for a responsible dog and house sitter. I'm a paramedic and work 48 hours shifts, which leaves my house unattended for 48 hours at a time. I also travel semi frequently. I need someone to drop by and check on my dog as well as take in the mail and look for anything out of the ordinary.
This wouldn't necessarily be a daily thing, just as needed. I don't receive any important mail, everything is online, but occasionally I time a package wrong and it gets delivered when I'm at work. If that happens I'd need you to come by and bring it in. My dog, Daisy, is set up with an auto feeder that feeds her three times a day. Occasionally though the feeder may jam. I get an alert when that happens and I'd need you to swing by and get it working again. Depending on how much time you have some play time or walks would be appreciated. For the dog, not me :P You'd be welcome to just hang out and watch TV if you wanted, she'd love the company. Just don't be surprised when a toy gets dropped in your lap. :) If you're a college student you could also use my place to do homework. It's pretty quiet. Unfortunately I've had two break ins over the last year. It's a good neighborhood but somehow the criminals seem to know when I'm gone. So, again, if you just want to hang out and watch TV I'm all for it. Need a night away from the family? Feel free to crash. I'll make sure you have my schedule.
Payment is negotiable. We could set something up where I pay you the same weekly or monthly regardless of how much I actually need you. This would mean sometimes you get paid for doing nothing and other times you're getting paid the same even though I need you significantly more. Or I could pay you by the visit. Your call.
I'm looking for someone trustworthy and dependable who will respect my home and take care of it. You would also need your own transportation or the means to be able to come by as needed. You must also need to be comfortable using an alarm system.
