Graphic Designers at Disney are creative problem solvers who look to collaborate inclusively throughout the design process to craft exceptional creative work. The Graphic Design discipline is within our Creative team in Design Services. This team delivers creative content that goes into 10+ unique brands and 90+ consumer- facing websites/apps as well as hundreds of enterprise products.The Manager, Graphic Design leads the Graphic Design team and will be responsible for inspiring, managing, and mentoring a team of graphic designers. S/he will oversee the design work from this team and shepherd best-in-class creative to create truly differentiated experiences for our users across all of DMED Technology’s products. S/he will build and maintain trusted partner relationships and seek opportunities to elevate the work through all aspects of the design process.Responsibilities :You will be responsible for managing, leading, inspiring, and growing a team of Graphic DesignersYou will provide day-to-day design leadership to encourage strategic thinking and creativity to build compelling designs that fulfill users’ needs for our consumer-facing productsYou will lead a team to define creative content for app and web experiences for consumer and enterprise products, supporting and managing throughout the process to ensure creative excellenceYou will collaborate with a diverse set of partners, including creative partners like graphic designers, motion designers, and content designersYou will operate as a point-of-contact on graphic design initiatives for both consumer-facing product design and enterprise design team as well as cross-functional partnersYou will collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders and will work closely with your team and other parts of the Design organization to craft solutionsYou will be responsible for presenting design work to partners and stakeholdersYour design work sets an example for other designers to followYou will be expected to partner with a variety of teams, inspiring confidence that your team will deliver compelling services that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed on time.Basic Qualifications :Bachelor’s Degree7+ years of relevant industry experiences, of which 2+ years of management experiencesYou have led and inspired a team of designersYou have a track record of overseeing large bodies of work and delivering multiple complex projects simultaneouslyYou have strong experience in strategic and conceptual graphic design, spanning branding, typography, color, iconography, and/or illustrationYou have an expert understanding of user-centered design principles and best practicesYou have project planned and to deliver excellent design solutions on timeYou have a broad and comprehensive understanding of different systems, theories, and practices of designYou have been proactive in bringing together groups of individuals to solve a problemYou are hungry for innovation, eager to challenge the status quoYou can communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organizationYou have managed stakeholders and set prioritiesLocation: Burbank,CaliforniaJob Posting Company:The Walt Disney Company and its Affiliated Companies are Equal Employment Opportunity employers and welcome all job seekers including individuals with disabilities and veterans with disabilities.
