We keep pushing boundaries, whether that's in the brewhouse, with sustainability, or in the great outdoors.Get to Know This RoleThe Packaging Operator Technician 1 operates, cleans, inspects, lubricates, changes over and performs minor maintenance tasks on packaging equipment. Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, this role is responsible for working effectively to meet production demands while maintaining a safe work environment and producing a quality product.What You Will Do:Operates dry side equipment on a high-speed bottling, canning, racking, and repack lines; follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and completes documentation via check sheetsPerforms routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, minor adjustments, light-duty maintenance of equipment; assists maintenance personnel with other repairs and preventative maintenance (PMs) when neededCleans production areas, equipment, work areas, or other parts of the facility to maintain plant food sanitation standardsOperates industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts in order to unload, load, and/or transport packaging materials, raw materials and finished productConducts process quality control checksCommunicates packaging related information to other teams effectivelyAssists in the keg prep area by sorting, completing valve rebuilding, and loading of kegsPerforms other duties and responsibilities as requiredPlease Apply if You Have:Previous experience in a consumer-packaged goods manufacturing environment preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to collaborate with peers and cross-functional teamsAbility to take ownership and initiative to perform tasks beyond assignment-specific dutiesUnderstanding of how to use basic hand tools (Allen wrenches, screw drivers, sockets/wrenches, etc.)Strong attention to detail and eye for package qualityAbility to learn on-the-jobForklift Certification upon hire preferredForklift Certification within 180 Days requiredAdditional Requirements to Consider Before ApplyingYou must be at least 21 years of age to work for Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment, post offer background check.Before applying for this role, please review the full job description, including the physical demands and working environment: https://sierranevada.jdxpert.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&id=2497 This position will remain open until filled; online applications will be reviewed weekly Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
